| Dr. Hersheys passion for orthodontics brought her to the University of North Carolina to receive her masters of public health and her masters of orthodontics, after completing her BS and her DDS at the University of Minnesota. After years of professional training, she opened her practices in Durham and Chapel Hill when she fell in love with the area and decided to make Chapel Hill her home. She knew then these were the communities she wanted to be a part of and serve. Dr. Hershey has continued her commitment to orthodontics by continuing to be an active part in many professional organizations. She is currently a member of American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Durham-Orange County Dental Society, North Carolina/South Carolina Damon Study Club and the North Carolina Invisalign Study Club. Dr. Hersheys education is ongoing and she attends numerous continuing education courses yearly. This allows her to utilize the most advanced techniques and technology in the treatment of her patients. Dr. Hershey knows choosing an orthodontic office can be a very personal decision. Thats why she is committed to having a compassionate, caring team that continues to strive for excellence when providing orthodontic care for you and your loved ones. Dr. Hershey enjoys building lifelong relationships with patients of all ages knowing that she excels at providing them fantastic smiles while creating a sound and healthy bite. When Dr. Hershey isnt creating spectacular smiles, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Ali, and her son, Trip. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, and reading medical journals. |
